What Makes a 3CCD Camcorder Different?
CCD stands for charge-coupled devices and, as the name suggests, a 3CCD camcorder has three of these devices. Simply put the “3CCD” camcorder has the ability to split the light entering the camcorder’s lens into three main colors-red, green and blue. By doing that, the camcorder is able to more accurately measure and interpret the image colors it is filming by knowing exactly how much red, blue and green is present in the images colors. It then recreates them with an exceptionally high accuracy.
